Last night I was present along with a couple of hundred other people to see Jody Wilson Raybould acclaimed as the Liberal Party of Canada candidate for the newly created riding of Vancouver Granville. She is a lawyer, former prosecutor, former chair and member of the BC Treaty Commission and currently the regional chief of the Assembly of First nations.
She is an accomplished woman who was the keynote speaker at the last Liberal Policy Convention in Montreal under Justin Trudeau's leadership. In her acceptance speech she was articulate, thoughtful and provocative. She did not come across as hyper partisan, an antidote to Harper's hyper partisan style. She will make a great MP for Vancouver Granville. Part of my old Vancouver South riding is now part of her riding. She deserves to be elected. She is a great candidate. She has my support.
