my journey with blogging

I am starting on a journey with blogging. I am sure it is going to be exciting, challenging and rewarding. Am I a bit nervous? You bet.

As my blogging begins , i notice that the Quebec Soccer federation has reversed its unreasonable ban on patkas and keskis for sikh kids wanting to play soccer . One would have thought it would not be an issue in the second decade of the 21st century. Nonetheless QSF has to be commended for its courage to change for the better. But no kudos to Marois . She failed to lead.

Quebec, in a way, is a huge anchor for a diverse and progressive Canada. Ms. Marois' position betrayed a weakness for pandering to bigotry . By so doing she insulted both Quebec and Canada.

On a different note, our PM Harper made history this week by being only the second Canadian PM to ever speak to British Parliament. I was saddened by a shadow cablnet member calling the PM's performance "partisan and not prime ministerial".

I must end here . Two of my 6 grandchildren have just come to spend the day with the two grandchildern that live with us. Of course that means I will spend the day with all four of them.
